Hand built to order, an assembled unit that is portable, small, lightweight and is powered by a 9 volt battery. The Belfry Detector is a joy to use and share with others and has a small speaker for group listening. Unit has a range of 75 to 200 feet depending on terrain and species of bat. This detector has a strong advantage over heterodyne type detectors in that it requires NO TUNING. You'll never miss a bat because you are tuned to the wrong frequency.
